Default FFDO packing list update pls

The other thread on this topic is closed, appreciate an update. It mentioned boonie hats and noise cancelling ear protection, special holster??? Is all that necessary? Their packing list mentioned a sturdy web belt, which makes sense. Any updates/recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Bring a belt. Everything else will be provided.

And leave your speed loader at home. Unless you like getting ridiculed.

Good belt. Don't get larger than 1.5 inches.

If you have your own ear and eye protection that you like, then you can use it. They give you a hat. They have hydration, backbacks, and other things for you. Unless it changed, you need to bring your own shoes. You don't need to get tactical boots or anything, regular sneakers will do fine.

There is a convenience store with things if you forgot or want something.

Literally, tennis shoes, underwear, socks and a belt are all you'll need. They provide EVERYTHING. You will be bringing a few things home with you (hat, hearing and eye protection, Nalgene bottle), so have some extra room in your suitcase.

Thanks. Can I get a good web belt, or does the leather work better. (Just for training.)

Get a good leather gun belt. The same one you'll be wearing in uniform.
