I would not run #s under an "assumption". I would go with the hard facts. Same as spirit. If you get an offer. Compare facts and reality. Not pipe dreams of a better life at JB or spirit. Both will get contracts someday but who knows when and they'll be much worse than FDX

So you are saying use current contract numbers for the next 5,10, 20 years? That's a bad assumption too even though those are currently hard #s (facts). Listen you can make realistic assumptions and err on the conservative side. That'll give you the best guess of how the financials will play out. The best advice the OP should take is make your decision based on QOL.

Do you have a FedEx offer? Are you one of the many JB guys who has migrated over?

If yes--then you probably already know enough our life to make the big connections. If not--it is sort of academic for now.

Not meaning to sound snarky--your first post made me think you had the option. The last post makes me think you are asking questions at the water cooler. Neither is bad--just trying to get an accurate read...

A short synopsis is we don't get paid for block much, but for trip and duty rig. Flexibility means the ability to add or drop trips with ease, find trips that layover or have a DH to/from an area near your home, and the ability to manipulate a schedule in ways that are as varied as the pilots who work here. I would pick many trips based on the front or back end deadhead banks which let me get to work and back without the stress of asking for a jumpseat or being stuck in coach very often. Flying first class to Paris, then taking a jet to EWR, then DHing home the next morning and pocketing 30 hours of pay for 3 days away from home is what I mean by flexible and lucrative. There was always a FDX trip that seemed to fit the length of time I wanted to work (1 day, 7 days, or anything between) and a place I wanted to go or see (weekend layover in Boise, a deadhead to Mumbai India...) It was never boring, and no matter how much time I had I seemed to be able to find a way to work or not work based on what was best at the moment for my goals. The fact I could do that without living in domcile made my life very nice...

To add on to Albie....it means at FedEx we can basically work every day of our life if we wanted to. Or one day every 90 days (as long as you had a rare three leg trip and took all the landings). Staffing permitted, unlimited drop and swap. And we get paid very well.

FedEx Express is excited to host its first ever Pilot Career Expo on Wednesday, May 3, in the FedEx Express Experience Center. The one-day session is designed to highlight what it's like to fly for the industry's premier airline, and to introduce Memphis, our global headquarters for more than four decades.

The Pilot Career Expo will be purely informational in nature, providing our guests a glimpse into our operations, our core values and an opportunity to learn firsthand why FedEx is such a great place to work.
The Pilot Career Expo will include presentations by FedEx executives and will feature a host of exhibits surrounding FedEx operations, innovation and our approach to safety. FedEx will offer hub tours to a limited number of attendees the evening before the Expo. Additionally, FedEx representatives will explain pilot hiring requirements and provide an overview of our application and interview processes.
Space will be limited, and slots given to applicants who have an active profile on fedex.pilotcredentials.com on a first come, first served basis.
