Sun Country & MidWest Airlines info
I would have posted this in the hiring forum, but it seems like everyone ignores that section unless their looking for a job.
I was hoping someone would have info on either or both companies as far as future growth, hiring, average pilot schedules, management/labor relations, and QOL.
This website states their accepting resumes, but a couple of us were wondering if they were interviewing.
Thanks,
Ziggy

I have sent in two resumes and gotten no response. Fox 1 has given provided me with quality info in the past.
I remain interested in Sun Country Airlines.
Midwest is currently hiring, but they never hire very many. It too is on my list of interesting places to work.

I don't have anything you can't find out through normal channels. It is a small company and doesn't give much up in terms of how they do things. They operate about 8 or 10 airplanes. Most of their trips are "Out and Backs" and you are home most nights. They are ALPA. They have not hired in several years, and have only recently recalled all their furloughed pilots from bankruptcy.
They operate out of MSP and out of the Humphrey terminal, which is a very nice terminal and right there at the employee parking.
I can't think of a better place. Live downtown, take the Light Rail or drive to work. Fly a 737-800 somewhere. Turn around. Fly back. Go home.
What more do you want from a flying career? Seriously. Pay is nothing special at all from what I have seen, but is made up for with a nice small company and a nice lifestyle where you actually get to be at home and see your family sometimes. Not bad. I'd do that.

Not to mention Minny is a kickin place for hockey!
I'm curious about a quote on their page. Could someone please explain what "150% of hourly pay rate above 75 hours" means? Are they stating every hour flown that month is paid 150% of normal pay if you exceed 75 hours or every hour after 75 hours is paid 150% of normal pay?
Thanks in advance to all who reply.
