Nagoya gouge?

Nagoya gouge?
Can anyone offer somewhat recent gouge to maximize the enjoyment of the Nagoya layover? I have two of them next week and it's my first time there. I'm looking forward to exploring a new city in Japan, I'm in somewhat of a rut with the Osaka and Narita layovers.
Thanks

About 7 and a half blocks east of the Nagoya Hilton Hotel is the Blue Note Jazz Club which has some good jazz at night, and a block north of there is a pretty good British Pub. The castle tour was made especially fun since we had 3 college kids ask to give us a tour so they could practice their english on us. Evidently, a couple of the local colleges encourage the students to do this on the weekend. All in all, a nice change of pace from Narita and Osaka.

For some reason Nagoya is known for their chicken wings. I thought this was some type of gai-jin joke but it's not. There are two different chicken wing shops within a 2 or so block radius from the hotel. The concierge will steer you in the right direction if you mention the chicken wings.
Seriously, I know this sounds crazy but it's true and they're good.

try shooters bar. they have free internet and pool tables. There is also a coupon for a free drink in the local english zine book. Food is okay, the wings in NGO are good and cheap(healthy?). also a club called off brodway is fun. Be prepared for a long ride to the hotel since town isn't close to the airport(ipod/computer helps). There is a covered arcade that has some good pawn shops in it. If you really want loud and young the id bar is pretty happening, bring earplugs. Check out a place called the watchman all kinds of watches for a good price. theres shakeys for bunch a lunch and some indian restaurants, ask at the hotel. And as always there is the hard rock. Pick up the local english rag and you'll see lots of things going on. Try the 100 yen shop tons of cheap stuff. lot of starbucks around too. enjoy the castle.

The best place to go in Nagoya is this place called "Gary's."
Bring you ID, it's free for crew members.
Drinks are cheap for Japan. (About 500 yen for a beer)
The music is pretty good.
And thats all I can say.
As the concierge at your hotel for a map with all the clubs and restaurants on it.
Damn, I miss it!!
Why, oh why did I go back to the DC-9?
(Oh, thats' right. The 40% pay cut.)
