80 percent or more of UPS pilots carry a company issued “backpack”...

I guess we’re unprofessional in the eyes of our “legacy” overloards...

Over the ear headphones though!? Come on man!

Upon further reflection (and still not losing sleep), anyone and everyone, pilots and passengers alike, just look goofy walking around the terminal wearing those earmuffs.

Look man, nobody is calling you an idiot. It’s clear you are new to the industry because you don’t understand the culture of policing our own and mentoring. These guys may sound a little harsh but that’s how pilots talk. Would you rather have another pilot help you correct your deficiencies or have your Chief Pilot address this during a carpet dance and add a letter to your file? Don’t be short sighted, play the long game. These guys are trying to help you.

Probably one of these dudes we have to “ thank” for the safety vests. Talk about raising the hazard level! At least it will just be instant lights-out when the sound if the approaching fast moving baggage tractor fails to warn of impending doom; no time for fear to set in.

You ain’t a pro until you’ve got a clip-on tie, pleated pants, and a belt holster for your phone.

I wear ear buds while walking around, my sunglasses on backwards when indoors and carry a backpack.

I smile at all the old dudes that looks like 'professional' trash too.

Mentoring in the cockpit yes but outside thats bit of a stretch . Unless someone is harassing a fellow employee or passenger or outrageously in conflict of a company rule or policy. Think drinking in uniform or groping somebody in the gate area. Earbuds, headphones or a backpack mind your own business.

Most of us are Christians. (Not me, by the way).

What would Jesus say to someone who looked/dressed differently than he did?
Was he welcoming to all peoples?
Did he treat everyone with respect?

Of course, we cannot be Jesus, but we CAN TRY to act and think and say like he did.

God's love to you...Namaste...

And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen.
