Montreal and Zurich (Swiss operates 30 A220s) were training location options for Delta pilots.

Breeze Airways Wants To Pay Pilots How Much?! | One Mile at a Time
Here’s Breeze Airways’ pilot pay scale:
  • First officers will be paid $55 per hour in year one, and $94 per hour in year six
  • Captains will be paid $117 per hour in year one, and $143 per hour in year six
  • Pilots are only guaranteed pay for 55 hours per month of flying (this is really the worst part, since pilots at most airlines are guaranteed 75+ hours per month)
In other words:
  • A first officer is looking at earning $36,300 in the first year, and $62,040 in the sixth year
  • A captain is looking at earning $77,220 in the first year, and $94,380 in the sixth year

I know these will probably go up at some point but those pay rates are almost funny they’re so bad. $77k for a captain? Regional FOs can pull close to that with their bonuses.

Attrition seems to poised to hit Breeze in a major way come this fall.. CJOs are starting to pile up and they have initiated another round of hiring. It will get very interesting for them in the late summer. Maybe they will respond with hire wages, but given no union, I'd wager you'll see hiring bonuses well in advance of any permanent compensation changes.

For what it’s worth airlines with unions also bonus’ with no changes in permanent compensation.

When each legacy is hiring 100-200 a month, plus SWA etc it won’t take much to dent Breeze’s pilot ranks.

Ha tell that to UAL, AA, FDX where several breeze folks are getting or have gotten calls from... the pay scale reflects other things that are plain to everyone else besides you, apparently.

That's from their previous qualifications and experience, *multiple regionals closing their doors and pilots needing somewhere - anywhere to go*, and not anything they got at Breeze. They would have been contacted by the legacies anyway had Covid not happened.

Going forward from here and 2022+, with everyone starting to hire, I think the bottom feeder statement may be true...

Unless they hire at standard regional requirements and not UPS stats.
