I also don’t have much PIC time in Category 1 (or was it 2 on the form) even though I do have over 1k turbine PIC and am currently a captain at a regional. I’m just interested in seeing how I match up with others getting the job. Thanks for any input!
The only people I know that have gotten the offer all had time in type.

Unless you want to fly a regional E195 with a seat lock, you’re better off waiting 6 months to fly the A220. Beyond the rumored long & thin transcon routes, there could be some additional interesting routes coming down the pipe according to this article from today: https://www.routesonline.com/news/29...served-cities/

Should be interesting to watch. Good luck!

interesting indeed. Sounds like a creative way of international EAS. Essentially asking for subsidies.

Why is Breeze listed under Majors and not regionals?

Do they fly contract feed for another airline like actual regionals or do they fly their own passengers?
Do they fly any planes that are recognized as regional jets by current US standards, or do they fly planes that are considered mainline planes? Just curious. You seem to have an axe to grind.

I guess you have to sort of lump them in with the Majors.
They don’t meet the definition by DOT standards, but they definitely aren’t a regional.

If we go by DOT standards we need to move SKW/ENY/RPA in here too. Seems the forums are separated into what are generally referred to by pilots as regionals, aka contract feed airlines, and then everyone else who sells their own tickets and whose paycheck matches the tail. And the division also happens to coincide with the 76/100 seat scope line. So, I’m good with the way it is, even if the pay and benefits have more in common with regionals.

Also, it’d probably be better those guys realize who their peers are (and aren’t), and what they should be demanding pay wise, and how they will be hurting the rest of the industry with their wages as soon as other managements start including their 190/195/223s in peer group pay. I think there’s some time period for which they get a pass for being a startup, but still. If they hang out in and amongst the regional forums, they might think they are doing well comparatively.

They may not be a regional but they pay like one.

They pay like one and their work rules are worse. Does that make them a sub regional?
