Just saw a announcement that Breeze will be moving into new Terminal C at MCO.

DN, honey, what is this? It's almost as bad as the "About Unions" page at SkyWest.

no idea why you brought up checkrides. You remind me of my friends at the regionals, choosing to make $150/hr as an FO and $400 as a LCA. I’m glad you’re happy, really, but there’s a reason so many of your compatriots are moving on and an opportunity cost to staying.

good luck

Now we're having a conversation. Thank you.

And yes, this place is an acquired taste, for sure. It works for some, it doesn't work for others. I was simply rebutting the insinuation that it sucks for everyone, when it doesn't. A lot of us are here because we want to participate in a start up and are willing to take the hits, because ANY start up business has challenges. For those of us who can afford to be here because our hourly pay does not define us, we are the ones who remain. 8 out of 9 of my classmates are part of that group. For the others who have left, I wish them nothing but the best.

My only point here is that people know that

1. many of us are happy here, and
2. hourly pay does not define happiness

For those who define their success in aviation by how much they make, awesome! I'm glad they have found places that pay them more. More power to them. But please stop issuing that same definition to those of us who are happy here at Breeze.

It took Jetblue what, 20 years to unionize?

Breezyboi is going to do it in record time.

DN should step back and think about how his own actions may be affecting this instead of blaming others.

It isn't the pilots that decide to get a union, it is management. The only way to avoid a union is to treat your workers better than the groups that have a union, to compensate for the lack of protection of the CBA.

As much as it pains me to say this Skywest has that figured out, as well as Delta with their non union employees.

Yup, couldn't believe how fast the union drive started at my last company, when the QOL was decreased just a bit.

Breeze put union thoughts in our minds very early on because of how things were quickly turning out in the 8 months leading up to the launch.. and some of the cadre flat out warned them!

Remember how we got the work rules the week before the launch?? And when we complained we were nicely told to pound sand? Remember the "training pay" concocted in the 11th hour before we started class? 2500 for CQFOs who applied to DEC? The insult of the equity offering to employees valued at 5-1 of Series A with 4 planes on property? And where was DN? Nowhere to be found among the rank and file.

That was the beginning of people's desire for ALPA..

Because hope is not a strategy
