Commuting on the A220 sucks, but if you live in base it’s great! Those lucky enough to be able to move to a base are very happy. Seniority is relative. Every new hire is at the bottom. But with the number of planes on order your seniority will go up quickly. Tpa is senior so you will be junior there, but as we get more planes, junior seniority becomes senior rather quickly. We added roughly 200 pilots last year, probably more than that this year. So look at percentages.
Again commuting can be done just takes your days off away. Once in base even on reserve your home!
The plane is amazing, the people are great, just the trips are not commutable yet. You have to get to the base a day earlier and leave a day after.
In base: the trips are highly efficient flying day. 15 hrs 2 day trips with a 24 hr layover pretty great!
The company has to fix it or they will loose a lot of pilots this year

Thank you for the info!! My ultimate plan is to get the TPA base and ride out commuting on the A220 and build seniority. I’m pretty excited, not sure what I would do if I got the E190/195 though. Probably wouldn’t be for me. When do you find out?
On day 6 of an 18 day rotation 🫠… Keep seeing Breeze A220’s. When can I start lol

What this guy said. Apply at F9 (TPA JR). In the mean time, take the class date at Breeze. If you get the 190, update your apps with breeze on there and f9 will call. If you get the 220 drop, stay home in tpa and watch the seniority list grow below you (if we can keep hiring). Congrats and welcome.

It depends... Some have been told with their class date offer, if its a one aircraft class. Others don't know until week one of indoc after getting a seniority number and bidding. Welcome to the airline industry.

Home for about two weeks for CBT training
Two and a bit weeks (closer to three weeks away from home with days off included) for systems training with FTD work
Then about two and a bit weeks (about three weeks away from home too) for full flight training

Well don’t be shy, link the article!!!
Initial investment costs of starting an airline are HUGE. So it’s obvious that Breeze is burning through cash. Avelo is most likely doing the same. The difference between the two is that Breeze has built a charter business on the side and it is actually doing well. Very well. The profit margin on charter is huge, and that money funds the airlines growth.
