Default FO class date

Anyone have an idea how long it will take for a new hire FO to be assigned a class date?

I’d guess 4 months maybe less if you’re lucky

Well what I’m hoping is they just move the ORF base to RIC, and flip the BDL base over to PHX and run the pairings backwards. No reason to have ORF, BDL, and PVD all as bases. And PHX would be somewhat commutable on own metal

I’m personally hoping CVG gets established as a base, seems like a quite a few trips are originating out of there now

Just discovered that A220 direct entry captains has opened up again. What is the most Junior base? With the expected growth, how long would it be to have a line at any base? What about TPA, which I guess is the most senior base?

Any talks about opening new bases? International destinations? How fast are the A220 deliveries coming along?

Thanks in advance.

You’ll be a DEC. You’ll be junior for a while. I think most are going to BDL and PVD. They told us no new actual bases planned for 2023 other than PVD but that can change as there’s been talk of LAS or PHX lately. We’re getting 10 more A220s this year. Apparently we’re still short on A220 Captains, mix of attrition and just not very good planning. Yes international flying is planned for the near future. And they want to go ETOPs for the longer international stuff.

What’s the current rate and min guarantee for the A220.

so 4 months to receive a class date? and then training is booked out about 4 months? So we're talking about 8 months until starting training?

Angry Before you apply

It’s just a dysfunctional mess honestly. At least a 10% turnover in pilots and the head of people just resigned after only seven months. You need a steel constitution to Be the Breeze. They will lie to you and continue to do so every week. Those core values are not practiced at all.

That's a description of almost every company lol. When they need you management will tell you all the bs you want to hear to keep you. When they don't need you it becomes a massacre. Core values? It's another PR bs.

Anyway I'll still go turn up to work on Monday 🤪
