With regionals going up in pay, any thoughts on Breeze pay going going up soon?
My thought is this would be a great opportunity to come to Breeze and stay my entire career with a great seniority. Thanks in advance.

Time will tell in the coming months how this affects class sizes. If they can find pilots from obscure corners of the industry then that’s what they’ll do. However most in class have been coming from the non AA owned regionals, so they should be worried about these latest rounds of historic pay increases. You can’t have an “extraordinary growth story” with no pilots available.

You'll definitely have a leg up compared to CFI's, but I don't think they really cover the specifics of 121 & 117 regs because they're used to newhires already knowing them cold.
What did you fly in the UK? Off the top of my head are you familiar with or could you learn on your own (FAA) takeoff minimums, alternate minimums, two navaid rule, max flight time and duty limits, the categories of MELs etc. (possibly similar or identical?) There's a lot of little stuff that could all add up to make you unsuccessful during training or IOE

I was wondering about pay too. It seem Envoy, PSA, Piedmont, commutair, Messa, and soon to be Skywest will all pay better than Breeze. They have to respond if they want to survive!

Sun Country has that problem in MSP. All those beautiful 73's but you have to live near MSP. BUT, and it's a BIG BUT Norfolk is a military town with 3 military air bases and LOT of military pilots resigning/retiring. I know. I went to an aviation college before the Navy and have had to compete with them to commute to ORD and DC since I left active duty (on ships) and started flying 121. I left Air Wisconsin with a LOT of pilots when they dropped the Norfolk base and refused to budge on pay. I think Breeze picked the right place to run day trips from. Now lets see what happens with pay.
