No, you (like) to think that. Not Wallstreet. Either back it up witch sources or stop saying things you want to happen. Truly sad people showing their true colors soon as they start feeling the heat. Let’s hope we all make it through this I won’t even waste my time on explaining why you are wrong.

We're all screwed. All of our companies are screwed.
The public is going to be hiding in their homes for a while and everywhere one would travel to visit is closing. Disney and the Smithsonian are a couple of the latest. Can't have more than 500 people in NYC in the same place. Too many more examples to name. This is quickly becoming devastating for every airline. The coronavirus cure is quickly becoming worse than the sickness. Hypothetically saving (pick a made up number) of lives when it creates a worldwide economic depression is not what I'd consider a desirable outcome. Let's all hope: 1) No airline fails, and 2) This ends quickly. |

I read an article today that stated as a percentage of cash on hand versus operating expenses Spirit has 22% on hand, Southwest was 11%, and AA and DAL were 6-8%. Of all the airlines to run on cash on hand the longest NK is probably best positioned. I'll try to find the article.

The stock market is not the economy.
Airline stock pricess are a poor metric of their strength |

Post COVID
Looking for an update on this thread post COVID. I would be in the Orlando, Tampa or Sarasota general area. Comparing 4 hr drive to MIA with AA or based locally for an ULCC.

NK 9+ years. Really like it here, good crew to fly with, definitely tired of ROPs (Management calls it IROPs, but if it is the normal mode of operating not sure if you can still call it "Irregular"). Having said that, at least some of that happiness comes from being 20% RS, and with low retirements at the ULCC because of the younger pilot group I would strongly advice you to consider AA. To get off reserve in the left seat at NK you need to get to around 40% RS, and including retirements that would mean at least 6K pilots for NK. How sure are you that is going to happen? Not sure which ULCC you are looking at, but I guess all are somewhat similar in that respect. At AA
bye bye I guess. |
