Not unless I was good at something. But I I guess getting a trophy for everything is they think they can fix the world with hope and a hug.

Exactly.

We would actually save more lives if we stopped abortions and took no measures to reduce the spread.

“I can’t die if I don’t smoke, so I don’t care about those million people. But if it could affect me, everyone must panic!”

But I guess scared folks are only scared of things effecting them or their loved ones, the lives that are so “priceless” is just a facade.

The weekly jobless claims number was just released. 6.6 million Americans filed for unemployment this week. 3.3 million filed for unemployment last week. That’s 10 million people in a span of two weeks. A typical weekly number is 200,000. The highest in history was 695,000 back in 1982. We passed those numbers this week by ~3000% and ~1000%, respectively.

The unemployment rate is already above 10% (higher than it ever got during the Great Recession of 2008). The Trump administration is forecasting 32% unemployment rate, which would be higher than the Great Depression.

yeah but I’d imagine a majority of these unemployed people will quickly get back to work once we are allowed to go to restaurants, malls, gyms, movies, etc.........

Nice job dodging those unemployment numbers.

So, how do you feel about the kids that depended on school meals for food, and are now going hungry since school's been cancelled? I guess you don't care about childhood nutrition as long as we extend the life of 80+ year olds by another 6 months...

All schools in my area are continuing to provide meals for those in need. We are all fighting the same thing and no one wants to be in this position. But we are all coming together to help each other.

I get the feeling that the “get back to work” crowd on here is missing the fact that the main concern right now is hospital capacity. Overflowing hospitals equates to a higher death rate when they are forced to triage due to lack of medical equipment as well as the inability to treat patients with non COVID-19 related illnesses.
