And as a LCC pilot if the legacies go bankrupt whose coat tails do we ride in the next cycle?

I absolutely do not hope for that and I don’t know who you are speaking of. I’ve never heard of that. We all have friends across all airlines and no one wishes anything bad to happen to them. We all only wish for regionals to die and not the pilots just the companies and have them all brought on as mainline pilots.

With Avianca going bankrupt (see link below) and maybe more South American airlines going bust without any government bailout seems like Spirit will be better positioned to take on more flying down there when this fiasco is over with. A lot of US carriers are even planning on being smaller sized so that would seem to help us out even more. Thoughts?

Seriously? I haven't read other airline subforums that much but I've found dancing on grave posts in all LCC forums. Here's a quick search of Spirit's subforum; I'm sure I could find more if I looked for a couple of minutes:
That's a bit of gravedancing by one of your coworkers.

And if that was directed at me personally please read what I had to say in this thread:
Negotiating in the time of Coronavirus.
The point is, we have a lot of people that are good professional pilots and even a lot of fun to fly with, but are still naive in the ways of the business world. They need to think and learn about these things, understand the possibilities and ramifications, both for their own sakes and for the sake of the rest of us. Ignorance is not bliss and knowledge is not dancing on anyone’s grave.

I'm hoping for a Yucatán meteor. I've seen one two many people wearing a mask and gloves while driving alone in their car. I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Nice that you wrote this:

That's a whole lot of schadenfreude wrapped into your post and exactly what I was talking about.
I'm displaced and quite a few pilots below me are getting furloughed. Nice of you to point that out.
