Pilot License Privacy Question
Any one know the legal ramifications of posting a list of pilots who currently fly or have flown for an airline? I was thinking of starting a website devoted to that cause. Like skybus, VA, gojet and others, I think it would be a great tool for those hiring to take a quick look to see if the applicant worked for one of our favorite airlines.

I'm not sure what exactly you would be proving by posting such a list. I have friends at both SKB and VA, both of those companies have hired pilots from all the legacy carriers, some LCC's, fractionals, cargo, and most of the regionals. If your goal is to offend a lot of people, your on the right track. Maybe instead of alienating those companies you should embrace them. I'm not sure who you think they are hiring, but they are both hiring exceptionally well experienced pilots. I'm told that the new hire classes are being filled with 12000+ hr. pilots. Maybe they are sick and tired of flying with guys like you and want a fresh start. Did you ever think about that!

I think it would be seen as a security risk and you'd probably get in hot water. I also think it would be in poor taste and wouldn't fix anything.

Pretty sure PRIA records already achieve this goal. If an airline wanted to discriminate based on where someone used to work, the already have the info.

Good call, where do you work cause I would love to fly your 319 for less than half the going pay.
Maybe I have to much respect for my predecessors for the work they have done for our industry than to undercut everyone so I can get a new start or quick pic. Sorry.

As mentioned, many applicants at the upstarts aren't viewing these companies as a stepping stone. My suggestion is that you try to make your own airline a better place with industry leading pay and work rules so that these start-ups won't have a competitive labor pool to draw from.

True pria record will achive the goal. Although I think there is a clear line drawn with pilots working for a two thirds less than industry average. I made more last year as an fo flying 70 seats than they will make flying 150 seats as a captain!
