This epidemic started with the “index case.” One guy or gal who got it. That’s all it took. Except the organism has mutated now, and become more infectious if with a far lower infection fatality rate.

again, I’m sure that if any single person decides not to play ball, it’s as bad as every single person deciding not to. Because the world is black and white and perfect is the enemy of the good

7.9 BILLION people out there. That’s a bunch.

You paid off your share of the national debt yet? It’s currently $222,191 per taxpayer or about $84,000 per citizen..

I don’t know. Just a guess but at some percentage, it probably doesn’t make a difference...just like heard immunity? If maybe only 70% of people comply 100% of the time (or 100% of the people for 70% of the time?), won’t make a significant difference? Like I said, I don’t know. What I do know is human nature. And you’ll never get a certain percentage of a huge population to do anything, a large percentage of the time. The term, like herding cats, comes to mind.

For such disdain of the Wild West, that’s quite a high horse you’ve found yourself perched upon.

Your assuming a significant percentage if the population will emulate your actions flies in the face of reality

and yet, other countries have significant compliance and success. I didn’t answer your previous question about “covid-free” because it’s not about being completely free, but able to control it when it does show up.

so explain to me about these “other countries” and why they don’t just represent normal variance? Show me a statistical analysis.what’s the correlation coefficient between compliance and success?
