I'm sure Airlines for America will let the administration know that it's a bad idea. There will be the full weight of the entire industry pushing back on this. I think their "active discussion" won't go beyond that.

Agree with the 2 posts above
The government continues to write checks to the airlines to get them (keep them) on their feet, this would not only make all of that money a waste, it would require billions more; because we all know the government isn’t going to now declare the bank is closed.
