Not a crew van story per se, but one time my FO and I were riding in a cab to the airport, and we were talking about relationships, as my wife and I had separated. The conversation took a surprising turn when the cab driver jumped in and told us a story about a time when his mama caught him enjoying carnal relations with the family cow. I was at a loss for words, but my FO egged him on and extracted some interesting details.

CA I was riding with the other day in the van was freaking out about his crypto. I mean, just panicking. "My Bitcoin has lost 30%! My dogecoin is down 20%! I can't deal with this ~!#$%!!!" To the point where I thought he was going to have to call off the trip.
Me: "Wow dude, I'm sorry to hear that. How down are you?"
CA: "Like two hundred grand!!"
Me: "Oh God. Uhh....I'm sorry. Wow. I mean...that's awful."
CA: "Well, at least it's just the simulation. If this was real I'd have jumped out of the hotel window."
Me: "I'm sorry...what?"
CA: "It's a trading sim I have. It's not real money. I simulate stuff before I trade it for real."
Me: "So....you lost $200K of pretend money? Like in The Sims?"
CA: "Yeah. It sucks. I'm so freaking out."
It's days like these I realize I REALLY need to get off my tail and get out of the regionals.
Me: "Wow dude, I'm sorry to hear that. How down are you?"
CA: "Like two hundred grand!!"
Me: "Oh God. Uhh....I'm sorry. Wow. I mean...that's awful."
