Your link is broken (it’s a link to the hosting site of that image). When you copy and paste the web link text to a browser, it’s a 2005 article. Was there something else to it?

Just an example for those too new to the business to know about Kasher.

And what did Alaska pilots learn from Kasher? Nothing - they voted yes on both concessionary TA's following the ruling, 2008 and 2013. And now they're stuck with a contract from the 1990's with all of the good parts having been removed from it and an intransigent management that refuses to negotiate a new one. They're working at a discounted price with no scope all with no end in sight.

Which is only one of the reasons that newbies to the majors need to learn a little history, not just of their own pilot group but of other pilot groups as well.

The least costly learning by experience is learning by the experience of others.

Most of them are local boys & girls... few commuters so that makes the job quite a bit more tolerable even with the warts. But they just inherited 800 VX pilots, of which about 795 commute.

Exactly. Learned nothing. Right now a few are beating their chests thinking we have a chance with these negotiations… we don’t. There are still
too many in the boys clubs that only care about living in gig harbor.

there will be no end to this current contract negotiation. The company has no reason to give an inch

Sad but so true. God help each and every one of us, the years ahead will not be easy on us or our families.
