Still negotiating on a regular basis. The optimum time to close the deals is when the large anticipated profit starts and the 'fear' of future covid surges/revenue drops subsides. IMO (aka WAG) the industry shakeup due to the pandemic has accelerated company business plans and forced them to show their hands sooner than they would've liked.

Yea that makes sense, will prob be late next year or 2023 for the first LOAs to be pushed then voted down.

No progress at AA. From what we’re seeing the company is standing by their opening offer and hasn’t moved at all. Basically heres the pot of money we’re willing to add, if the new contract fits within that pot then yes, if it doesn’t then no. End of story.

I think it's worse than that. We gave the company a list of proposals that they wanted to have costed and still have never gotten back to us.

AKA, getting bargaining unit into the position of negotiating against itself. Management 101 tactic. Trick is convincing management that they need to bake a larger pie .

and I’m sure AA is determining the cost of each ask. Oh you don’t like Recovery Obligation? Well that’s going to count as 250 million towards your 750 million pot. lol. I guess the only positive is we don’t have any work rules left for APA to trade away. It’s only up from here.

How about a comparison of union asks and company offers? I heard Delta’s union is asking for 25% company retirement contributions and a cash deferrment plan or something.

No negotiations at DL.
Company requested mediation right after the contract went amendable. Couple meetings happened before the world shut down for Covid.
Fed govt isn't allow mediators to travel yet, and even though zoom meetings exist, virtual meetings are not being used.
RUMINT is in person mediated meetings to start back up beginning of next year.
