Any actual changes or improvements at Avelo? Anymore info about the MCO base and how it will grow comparted to HVN or other bases that might be opening? Last I saw they were advertising 15-16 days off for pilots. With nobody really complaining on here, sounds like this must still be a decent company.

How many hours a month are pilots flying in BUR? Once you hold a line are schedules commutable?

Thanks!

When I saw that they were going to base out of BUR, I thought that was a dumb move and thought that ONT would have been a better choice. I flew with a former Avelo FO recently that explained the logic of BUR ... the pandemic made it possible to get gates at BUR that would never have been available in normal times. So they started in BUR. So what looked dumb to me sounds like it was a very shrewd long term move.

Can a new hire direct entry captain get BUR as their base?

MCO is opening soon, lots of changes in all quadrants, all the crews are Great, 15-16 seems to be Normal and more than guarantee

Yes but expect direct entry slots to be drying up, here soon it will be FO hiring to upgrade based on seniority and need.

Default Applying to Avelo

I currently have a restricted ATP. It's just a matter of logistics to get the restriction taken off, I haven't had the time to arrange something, but I meet all of the requirements. Should I still apply or will they not even look at me?

If he has the time, can't they remove it when he does his type ride assuming they're hiring non-type rated still? I mean, they are advertising they'll take people from ATP with 1500 hours, so if that's the case it probably wouldn't be an issue.

He will have to prove his 25 hours and it has to be signed by a person with no restriction, and only the FAA can do that.

Just make an appointment at a FSDO and do it takes 10 mins once your there
