i’m glad Virgin America got bought out. their pilots looked like bartenders at a gay nightclub.

??? It was a modern take on the classic pilot uniform, minus the tie.

The grey was practical (stains don't show) in addition to being trendy.

Practical downside might be that pax might not readily recogonize pilots during an evac, but as long as they recognize you as crew of some sort it should be fine.

I'd take that (or the HAL uniform) in a heartbeat.

Funny everybody on here who bashes the Delta or United uniform…

i’m sure if you offered their pay rate in exchange for wearing the uniform and hat you would be singing a different tune.

me included…

well you see you missed the secret sauce people only want to live on the west coast and WANT to see Seattle before they get to their destination. Lax - SJC? No they want LAX-SEA-SJC

I wouldn’t mind slacks and a polo for a dress code….

At Jetblue I’d just like to be able to simply get some shirts and pants. Our made in China ties that fall apart after a few trips are a dime a dozen but I’m at 5 months waiting for a few shirts and pants.

A trendy or “less professional” uniform ala Bonza is just another way for corporations to get you to exchange compensation for culture. It’s crazy how much compensation people will let go to not wear a suit to work, or work from home.

It amazes me how much old guys want to hang on to unneeded outdated culture because their identity is tied up in a ridiculous uniform.

Actually he’s spot on in his assessment.

Are they woke? Those uniforms aren’t gender specific are they? Size me for that sun dress. The coconuts need air!
