this number seems embarrassingly low compared to even some regionals now. That contract needs some work.

I decided to leave NK a couple months ago but as a 5/6 year captain stuck on reserve. No drops and never getting a call for premium, I was on pace to make around the same amount of money. 200k to fly 200+ people in the class II out of SJU is horrible.

I do like the pay at southwest looking at these numbers, but yes those block times are brutal. Spent too many years getting burnt out in the regionals flying that much to want to make the jump to southwest. Not that widebody long haul is for everyone, but I certainly prefer it. Food for thought for pilots considering various jobs.

I way rounded up the missed pay for the military as well.

It is extremely embarrassing, which is why I posted it, people need to know.

I don't block near what these guys do. I sure as hell didn't make enough as a CA on 12 year pay. Our rates need to come way up. I doubt SWAPA will be raising the bar though. I'll be voting NO I'm sure.
Salary: $353,000
Perdiem: $7,000
Company NEC: $40,500
Health care: free.
Fly my line blocked 673hrs. I couldn't imagine doing over 800hrs. Sounds very fatiguing.
I call in sick when sick...IMSAFE. I fly with too many with allergies then get sick.
AVG 18 days off per month. I rather be off. I never work over vac or pick up vac months.
Paid way to much for STD and LTD. Better get fixed this contract
Paid for uniforms(I havent had the need to buy anything for a year or two.), parking.
Paid way to much to the guberment.

SWA 9yr FO and a few months as CA
$275K
$6200 of that is per diem
$7100 of that is profit sharing
$63000 in taxes
$39143 B fund

Total comp including B fund: $314,000
Lived in base until August. Commuting now. Very very rarely pick up any extra flying. I value my time at home (especially now)

YTD block is around 548, but a month was vacation and another three weeks in school.

Sorry I forgot to put down SWA. It was my profile picture but have a more appropriate one now. I guess my total would be just north of $400,000 if you believe in adding wages, perdiem and NEC together.

I see you made: 321K in W-2 wages and 40K in NEC. and then I see this guy right below your post:
5th year Southwest FO live in base
$220k W2$33k NEC
(his NEC is roughly 15% and your is 12%, did you actually make 280K in W-2 wages?)
he probably contributed the personal max to his 401k, and the DC of 40k plus that equaled the total max, and then subsequent DC money was paid out as normal income
