This needed to be repeated. I’ve been preaching this for years and years.

Especially when we got suckered into taking huge paycuts Post 9/11 that lasted until the last decade. Meanwhile, the world kept earning their high salaries and getting ahead. I remember not being able to afford a burger in an airport terminal on my regional salary during those years while flying multi million dollar RJs carrying 50 lives at a time. The wages we were paid were purely criminal.

Going forward list hard days off.

If desired, if they are worth mentioning, also list "Reserve Not Utilized" days as a separate number.

Brown

Mostly on year 7 for pay.

Mostly FO, with a sprinkling of Capt pay at the end. (Hopefully!)

Wages:$309k
B plan: $37k
”worked” 180 days, including around 70 unused reserve days and a couple months in training to transition fleets and seats.

All numbers are a bit rough since payroll is slow rolling the raise and I don’t know when it will catch up.

We had some guy from ALPA show up in our ground school at my first sh!t “regional” job and actually inform us NOT to show up at the welfare office in uniform when we applied for food stamps. Circa 1990

One might have seen the “No FSFO” bag stickers back in the day that ALPA was passing out. That stood for “no food stamp first officers”.

True story
