**LEPF President Barry Kendrick, VP Christina Halli, and Government Affairs lobbyist, Madison Higginbotham were invited guests attending the RAA Gala and Conference on Friday, September 20, 2025, in Washington DC. Our continued relationship with RAA President Faye Malarkey Black, and their leadership team, discussed our mutual support and joint effort to RTA.

**The same three mentioned above also met with Senators Cruz, Blackburn, and Thune, as well as Congressman Nehls offices to discuss our ongoing efforts to re-introduce the “LEPF Act” in the US Senate. They also discussed IATA’s WP349 and the upcoming ICAO Assembly in Montreal, Canada. LEPF ICAO Liaison, Capt. Allen Baker will attend the Assembly joining Congressman Nehls and IATA.

**The “LEPF Act” re-introduction in the US Senate, we believe, is imminent. We are actively engaged with the offices of Senators Blackburn and Graham for re-introduction.

**Senator Ted Cruz delivered a letter to the POTUS, advocating strong support at the ICAO Assembly on WP349, to raise or even “abolish” the arbitrary age restriction. The burden of proof should be on the agencies that restrict the pilot license privileges at a certain age, to justify why they do so.

Nothing says "we support labor" like bending the knee to the RAA, the organization who has supported paying pilots literal food stamps wages

 

[Mod Input] Another reminder to remain civil in these discussions. Knock off the insults.

 

Repeating things like this doesn't make them true. The rest of us believe the burned of proof is on you, who wants to make a major change to the industry, proving it's not only safer, but also in the best interest of the industry (as opposed to being in your best interest).

 

Now this is a gem. Let The Coots Fly Act people now seem to want to "mentor" the regional pilots hence going to RAA. That's beautiful... the FAA should bend the knee to them and carve out an exception for aircraft with 70 seats or less, and have no retirement age there - just Class 1.

I think old coots in the left seat at a regional would properly age some of these 'stache youngin types, so by the time they get here, they'd likely lose the 'stache because they will have been "mentored" grey, ergo not needing the 'stache anymore to look old enough. Could be a great thing too.. 🤪

 

It looks like WP 349 (Presented by IATA) is on the "Order of Business" at the ICAO A42 Assembly for tomorrow, September 25th. There are a HUGE number of "Working Papers" being presented on various topics and from many sources.
