In production starring Kathy Bates. Midseason premiere tonight, CBS. Media brah, runs on Ad cash, subscription rights. Same as ever. Lepf, not the droids you’re looking for. What’s too old for certificate holder, revenue service? Answer that with sufficient grounds, the rest takes care of itself.

Bro, you’re the one arguing for change. It’s on you to provide the data and make your case.

Show me the 67year old who performs better at the end of a 6 day international W trip (4, 9+ hour legs, all of which impinge WOCL) than the same pilot at age 64.

The performance is only going one way at that age, sorry if it hurts your feelings.

There is a reason there are no 65 year olds wining physical or mental competitions, and it’s not because of age discrimination.

Nobody with a lick of sense on anonymous chat boards cares what i think or agree to brah. As far as this topic goes, the what, my only interest. Your argument is cash. The flip side is standards. Uphold standards transparently without bias, industry SOP. How old is too old? Judgement call based on many factors. None of it seniority dependent. Baseline policy gets established by the preeminent ruling body. Defending challenges, likewise theirs to answer.

My argument is about safety. You and your ilk are the ones who seem to need more money.

This discussion has never been about seniority. It’s about age and safety. No one is forcing people to retire once they reach a certain seniority level.

I’m still waiting for you to give me an example of a 67 year old that’s at the top of their game.

No one brings their A game to every leg. Satisfactory to established safety measures, proficiency and systemic controls is the common to each and every crewmember bar to clear. Opponents of present code have at their disposal various means to lobby, litigate for review & possible revision. As mentioned previously, 65 has functioned adequately imo. But I carry no axe to grind for Lepf activists personally. Why a dude/dudette who’s too long in the tooth for a Sun Country 73 is still spry enough for a BBJ, requires at least some regulatory effort to justify. Seems to me like no one has seriously bothered to quantify that. Yes, there most certainly are 65 yo’s better qualified than some Pt 121 30 yo’s for the sake of argument.

Good question, everything’s on hold until the next Congress probably. In the long run, dunno. Won’t matter much either way to Bill (D) & Barb (R), routine ticket buyers & mainstream party voters.

When the Gulf War 3 furloughs hit in 6 months LEPF will be a forgotten movement.

That's clear enough, for once. FOs need to pick up the slack for gramps and be the safety net for seniors' money grab, right?

I have to think if LEPFEPAS could find or buy a study to show that elderly pilots can somehow flout long-documented aging decline, they would have done so long ago.

send money, $1000 minimum recommended donation. They could buy that study with your help! Or at least pay the legal bills for their failed lawsuit. In any case, send money.
