Yeah, keep in mind that Airline managers lie too. This whole thing about “we only have a few days left” could have been posturing to negotiate a bailout or sale.

That's not always how it's happened in the past. Managers may not send any overt signals until they're certain they no longer want any ticket sales revenue.

They will not care at all what happens to deployed crew (unless they also care about where the planes wind up).

That’s not how shutdowns happen. it’s with immediate effect when planes land.

ALPA has contingencies to help stranded crew non rev on OAL’s to get home.

If the clock runs, at the end of the seven days, liquidation *could* occur. But it does not *have* to occur. That's a BK court process. Not any kind of process to actually wind down the airline.
