Ryan Intl scoop?...
Hello people,
This thread does infact exist in hiring news section, however no clear resolution was found.
Does anyone have the scoop on Ryan Intl 757 FO operation...? QOL, the physibillity of holding/getting assigned EGKK base? or perhaps a KJFK one...?
How about commutability to EGKK, do they have any zed fare agreements should you elect to commute from some place else other than the CONUS/North america in general..?
And last but not least... upgrade time?
Thx!

Physibilitiy? Man, I have to get out more. I have no idea what that means!
I have a buddy that just started on with them. He loves the schedule, and the outfit has it's nomral 'airliney' issues.

They are currently having a strike authorization vote. No one will answer you because they are embarrassed to admit that they work there. It is an awful place right now. Maybe if the contract goes through it will turn around for them.

I think he means feasibility...Ryan doesn`t require the ability to spell....

I used to work at Ryan a couple of years ago.....I had a pretty good time there, however being that it is a contract carrier, jobs were constantly coming and going. Quality of life was ok, typical schedules (I was on 757) were 1 week on/off or 2 weeks on/off. Nice benefit was you were put in a hotel in base (no crashpads were required). I think it was a little less friendly for pilots with families. Sometimes you could be away from home for quite a while.
I don't think EGKK is a base any longer. That was for a Ghana contract, flying between Gatwick and Accra every day. I believe that contract ceased at least 6 months ago, if not longer. When it was in operation, we were bought tickets back and forth to Gatwick from home, and schedules were two weeks on/off.
I don't know about the KJFK commute, but that would be on your own....
Upgrade time is at least ten years seniority. They have lost some contracts recently and I think the DoD flying is slowing. Many former captains are now flying in the right seat due to downgrades/loss of flying/loss of aircraft.
On the bright side, I think they just purchased a 767 that is now doing proving runs, etc....
Hope this helps some....good luck!
