During my interview on wed, they said "over 200" next year. They didn't say anything about the conversions to 320's though.

What I was told was the 30 319's are still on firm order, there is an additional 20 320's the company has an excellent purchase option on, and it is looking like those aircraft will arrive in 2008.....so it could end up being a "big" order for 50 aicraft.

Who knows what will happen though......death and taxes, only count on that!

Did the Detroit base close? I heard it did, now I'm reading it is reopening. I am looking into Spirit & wondering what the chances of holding FLL and not getting displaced? I've been at F9 for 3 years and things aren't looking too hot there. I'm not a big fan of commuting, that's why I ask about FLL. Thanks, Chicken

DTW was suppose to close. Then it just got downsized. Will get downsized a little more though.
You will not get displaced out of FLL (MY OPINION!). They are expanding out of there, so they are wanting more crews out of there.
Good luck in your endeavors!

How are the medical and travel benefits? Are you guys eligible to purchase ID 90's? When is the 401K company match available? When do you estimate the contract issues to be ironed out?

401k is 60 days. Spirit just switched to T Rowe Price Medical is ok, not great, not bad.

Travel benefits aren't the best on spirit. We do have Zed fares with United and others that are pretty good.

In my new hire class (late last year) everyone that talked to our class said between 6-12 months for a contract, but you konw how that goes.
