Default Spirit Questions

Couple of quick questions about Spirit since i have an interview there next week.

1. Number of days off on reserve? I see where they get 8 immoveable days a month, is this it or are there moveable days off in addition to this?

2. How long could i expect to be on reserve if I was hired and started near the end of November? (What are there hiring plans for next year?)

3. Is the 2001 upgrade listed on the APC main page accurate?

Thanks for the info.

1. 12 days off in a 30 day month and 13 in a 31 day month. You get 8 immovable days, 4 designated by you and 4 by the company except for the monthly transition.

2. I would not worry about being on reserve too long. Average right now is two month, with the anticipated hiring just about to happen that might even go down. I just got a line for Nov after being out of training for 2 months.

3. It is pretty accurate. The guys/gals that are upgrading right now are around mid '01 hires, but hopefully that is just about to change.

Good Luck

Thanks for the help. I was thinking that reserve wouldn't be that long, just didn't know if the hiring next year might change that or not.

Hope to see you on line in a few months. How long did you wait from the interview for a class date?

I was hired 6 months ago... never on reserve holding a nice 16 day off line now... the hiring plans are for 32 a month in November and December, and 150 pilots from Jan to June 08, so I hear from the guy in charge of hiring. Good time to hire on as I see it.

I saw some "Modular Homes" east of 95 for 320,000.

But at least the prices are dropping

I'm just trying to make the best decision possible. IF (and that's a big IF) i were lucky enough to get hired, I just needed to make sure this is the best decision for my situation.

Right now i'm #10/250 commuting to JFK from MCO as an FO with an upgrade in the next 6 months and want to make sure i don't leave for a worse situation.

Just pullin your leg bubba..........good luck on the interview. If everything on paper turns out to be true - upgrade will be relatively short and QOL if you live in FL will be good in no time.
