Legacy pay comparison
Got bored and checked out the differances between the legacies pay differances. Included Air Canada as a comparison for what to shoot for in upcomming negotiations seeing as AC is the best paid in North America
320/737 FO(year 5) AC: 90 UA: 80 AA: 96 CO: 82 DA: 92 NW: 80 US: 75 767 FO(year 5) AC: 103 UA: 93 AA:104 CO: 107 DA: 95 US: 87 787 FO(year 5) AC: 108 CO: 107 NW: 95 A340 FO(year 5) AC: 115 NW: 93 US: 96 777/747 FO(year 5) AC: 121 UA: 113 AA: 120 CO: 107 DA: 114 NW: 104 320/737 CA(year 10) AC: 163 UA: 130 AA: 161 CO: 144 DA: 149 NW: 135 US: 122 767 CA(year 10) AC: 189 UA:151 AA: 174 CO: 187 DA: 154 US: 141 787 CA(year 10) AC: 198 CO: 187 NW: 160 A340/330 CA(year 10) AC: 211 NW: 157 US: 160 777/747 CA(year 12) AC: 228 UA: 184 AA: 202 CO: 187 DA: 188 NW: 177 |
Should have checked SWA.
737 - 5 yr FO - $119 - 5 yr CA - $183 10 yr - FO - $128 - CA - $194 12 yr - FO - $131 - CA - $198 And none of them have ever been furloughed. |
At CAL we are paid large narrow body pay ($93 @ 5 year F/O) for our 800/900 flying. This puts your $82 (5 year F/O) figure a little low. Nearly half of our 737 pay $93

And none are flying 757's, 767's, 777's, or to anywhere outside of the USA. Nor are they upgrading very fast either. SWA is a great company, but flying 5 legs a day your entire career isn't my idea of fun. I'll take a few less dollars and enjoy the St Maarten overnights. :p

Interesting....I havent flown more than 3-4 legs a day there over the last 2 years. Been to 94 countries flying for the Air Force...and I got all the T-shirts I'll ever need. Flying 3 time zones in the USA and being home ALOT works great for me. Different strokes for different folks |
The topic is "Legacy Pay Comparison".

Taxes
Is the AC pay same as you would get in the U.S or would you pay diffrent Taxes?

Taxes are higher in Canada so the gov would take a bigger share. However if you live outside canada u can get around it. You can only get taxed for flight hours inside canada... thats only if u reside outside canada |
