I applaud this. Hope it works.

It will help to stop the race to the bottom.

Imperfect? Yeah.

Is the current way it works perfect? Hardly!

Maybe this is the beginning of the end of the race to the bottom with pilots killing each other for $20/hour jobs.

Whether you are at a Regional or a Major Airline, you want a Union that will fight for you. Don't you? I do.

I thank and respect the Eagle pilots. I wish the Stupid AA management knew what, how and where to run a regional airline. All they had to do to learn to do it properly was to look at AS and QX (Alaska and Horizon) they seem to be do it properly and profitably.

Somehow I think some of the AAtitude was because of 80 for 80 deal that Eagle proposed.

I met Rich LaVoy once, He should've been a politician. Talked for 30 mins and did not learn a damn thing.

Show me one mainline pilot that cares about this and I'll show you 50 that don't. It's all nice to sit around and think how we can all be friends on one seniority list. The fact still remains...APA while suggesting this won't give a up a damn thing to put Eagle pilots on their seniority list. This goes the same for any other legacy out there. Everyone on here will ***** and whine about regional pilots but will do nothing about it. They didn't do anything 15 years ago, what's changed?! Personally, I think this is a bunch of talk that's not going to have ANY action behind it. I would love to be proved wrong...

AAFlyer,

I applaud this nego. proposal. It is a good thing for our profession as a whole, period.

From a furloughed TWA/American Airlines pilot's standpoint, I wonder what will the APA offer to AMR to achieve this scope proviso. Sorry to sound selfish, but AMR won't give in to this without something juicy in return.

Any ideas what the APA will offer ? Pay freeze, higher monthly caps, pref bidding, retirement changes, dissolution of SUPP CC,, etc.

Not to get into an ankle biting contest, but this is a big fish to haul in, what kinda big bait will they use to snare this beast.

Thanks for your opinion. Hoping for the best.

If this proposal passes it would be, in my opinion, one of the most - if not the most - important improvements for pilots in the last 20 years or more. Hopefully all of the AA pilots feel the same way.

And I'll show you tens of thousands of RJ pilots that DO care about this. Regional MECs should be all over this in support of getting rid of the underbidding race to the bottom regional airline game. I'm sick of playing it!

So, does this mean AMR is going to sell Eagle, then BUY Eagle back, then the seniority lists would be merged? What if AMR in turn decides to sell Eagle the second time around, would they furlough all the Eagle guys, then where would they flow back to?

The big question is: What is Mainline going to have to give up on their contract to see this through? Negotiations is a give and take, that's a fact.

Good-luck with that.
