The lawyers get paid first. Then the employees.

Yes... the lawyers get theirs first... then agents acting on behalf of the company... and a bunch of other entities there after. And if.... and only if there is money left over, the employees and vendors.

The bankruptcy court is going to rule today about certain pay and benefits the employees are going to receive.

The lawyers will argue on behalf of company to delay such payments as long as possible due to immediate operational needs... a real classy bunch.

We have received a letter from the CEO that said that we would be paid on Jan 5th. It also said that we would receive pay for all of our unused PTO. Hopefully, they will keep their word.

Hope your checks do arrive, guys/gals of MaxJet.

When TransMeridian shut done back in Oct 05' the employees were shorted our last check which was our big check nonetheless.

I'm still holding my breath but I'm turning a pretty shade of blue.

Good Luck, hopefully new employment will be close at hand.

Well, the checks did arrive. However they were not as much as we expected. Only 1/2 of the regular pay and no perdiem. They did pay the unused PTO so that was something good. It was a great airline to work for. Just not a good way for it to end. Thanks to everybody for their thoughts and suggestions for jobs. It is very much appreciated.

This is the kind of thing that makes APC a great place.. I guess it's to be expected from an MD11 driver!

There's a billboard at LAX next to Terminal 1 still advertising MaxJet flights to London! ( Must have been paid for in advance...)
