DAL/NWA reported on CNBC

I do. DL is about to adquire NW. There will be a lot of pressure on CO and UA to merge in order to remain competitive, and put up a fight against the NEW Delta....

Wont happen, if the govt allows NWA to acquire DAL then they will have to entertain UAL and CAL. They deregulated in the past and if they allow this to happen they are just coming full circle.

Here is a link to the latest today. As badly as we'd like to believe consolidation will not occur we need to discuss what to do next should it occur. The NWA MEC has started a merger committee within the last year and half as I recall (I have since moved on so not sure what is going on within the committee). The CNBC report yesterday stated that they (folks at CNBC) believe the DAL/NWA merger has good prospects of going through because inthe proposal no employees will be furloughed only management groups will be trimmed up.....now before you respond remember I'm only the messenger.

Let me give you a hint? Do you think the Labor Department is looking out for labor? Ha!!
Elain Cho is the Secretary of Labor.
Her previous position prior to Secretary of Labor?
Board of Directors; Northwest Airlines.

Oh. The list goes on and on....
