Snipe Hunter:

Welcome to United !

At UAL, long term planning is six (6) months or until next Tuesday which ever comes first.

Been there and "got the shirt".

G'day Mate !!

OK, then. I'll be waiting by the phone Tuesday. Maybe they'll change their mind if oil drops, say, $5 a barrel on Monday.

I know the airline drill. Been around it since I was a young'in. (Pop was at TWA.) I just wasn't expecting to experience the hire/furlough cycle with a month and a half!

It always easy to be bitter, but I’m going to stay optimistic and hope that better-than-expected summer traveling caused the HR folks to open up the TK by summer’s end.

Snipe,
For what it's worth... I'd let the New Hire team know you'd be ready to take a class (March 31 ..if you really are) if someone cuts out last minute. This news might scare off some.???

Any word on when I'll get the kick in the ass? I brought my extra-thick Toughskins so it won't hurt so bad.

Are interviews still going on?
