Default JFK to EWR?

Hi guys,
Quick question. I'm flying into JFK on JBlue and need to get to EWR for a trip. What is the easiest/fastest way? I was thinking the train/subway, but not too familiar with the NY area. Thanks

You can take the AirTran to long term parking, get on the A train to Penn Station, and get on Amtrak to EWR.

Or you can get a taxi for about 100 dollars.

airtrain to Jamaica station, take the subway to new york penn station (its near times square, i think thats lines A, C, E but i cant remember, then NJ transit (train also) to Newark airport, which is the next stop after newark penn. My guess is this will take 1.5 to hours depending on how you time the connections?

cab is way too expensive, and buses are tough if you dont know them. dont know about airport to airport shuttles...

How easy and fast do you want? http://www.flyush.com/ will get you between the two in around 30-40 min or so. They have pass agreements with some airlines. It looks like their schedule has thinned out over the last few months, however.

wait i dont know why i didnt think of this before.

Kalitta does a Part 91 ferry between JFK and EWR. Flight time is 6 minutes but allow 2 hours depending on what time of day. haha. Call 734-484-0088, ask for scheduling or operations, see if theres a flight around the day/time your looking for, and list for the jumpseat

I think FedEx might also have a JFK-EWR flight.

Hey thanks guys,
I think the train is fine. I getting in around 7am and actually just have a hotel standby on Monday night, so, no rush. How much are the train/subway fares if anyone knows?

I think the helo or 747 j/s would be cool, but I'm kinda intersted in seeing some of NY up close. I do have hotel standby in EWR all week and doubt I'll get used much. What are some must see/do sights in NY besides the obvious Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Empire State Building?

Thanks again for the quick replys!!!

Yankees home opener is tomorrow against the blue jays at 1pm. This is the last year of the famed Yankee stadium before they move into the new place next door. Could be your last chance ever to see it!

subway in NYC is $2 each ride to anywhere. Airtrain from JFK is around $5, and train from NY Penn to EWR is probably around $6 or $7

Actually, I was talking to my wife about that the other day but figured that it would be near impossible to find a ticket (without paying big $$$ from a scalper). I'd love to catch a Yankees game...thanks, I'll look into it.

I'll be at the game tomorrow. It shouldn't have an impact on traffic because anybody who's anybody goes to 125th street to get the subway to the Bronx.

As far as getting to EWR, I still think my plan is the best. I've done it a few times for connecting flights. Not bad at all.
