Thanks for the answers. If I had it all to do over again, I'd probably would have gotten some sort of finance degree. As a child, never really had one parent or the other try to point me in any particular direction, so I just happen to land on "pilot". Very happy where I am, and other than not having bred a Derby winner really couldn't ask for anything.
Sounds like you're having good fun over in Europe. I would have volunteered for the Berlin base, had American ever opened it. I remember some old check airman on the 757 telling me on my IOE, to get back to him as soon as I had 100 hours in it. His premise was that I could fly to Dusseldorf (sp?) and drink all the great beer I wanted. Didn't want to do the check airman stuff.
I think we had better give up on the F/A idea. I need a wealthy, old geezer who's about to croak.
