And your years of service at an airline that no longer existed should count because........?

I worked at another Airline prior to AA, why doesn't that count for LOS?

At least you got years of service pay and some of your senior people (not many but some) are still at AA when 1000+ AA pilots who were on the property prior to the "Buyout" (Yes it was a buyout not a merger) are still on the street.

You and I were both sacrificed so those senior to us (some Red, most Blue) could keep their jobs and A-funds ect.........

Vilifying AA pilots and whining about it 7 years later is just a waste

Amen. Man, this is tiresome.

So, FF, did Brown bump you to the head of the line with all your prior TWA seniority?

aa73, enjoy keeping your job. I'll send you a picture of me, I've done something new with my hair.

Thanks.... Ahh, no clue if I will keep my job when they announce the next round of furloughs. Expecting the worst but hoping for the best.

p.s. you can see a pic of me in STL ops on the "Wall of Lame" if you ever venture through there for some reason. See, I was such a big hit with all you Reds over there that they decided to honor me. However, I'm still waiting for my honorary "TWA Crew" tag...

I like your avatar, don't agree with your post.

Why should my years of service count for something, because we brought assets to the party that NAAtives were able to fly to avoid furlough. You're arrogant, "I got mine, pull up the ladder", attitude is why the maco-pilot group is fractured. Ask anyone if they think YOU and your APA treated the TWA pilots fair, and you will get near 100% agreement that you arrogantly screwed them.

You and your union promised fair and equitable. The final product isn't worth the plastic bag I use to pick up dog mess.

If you think the beetching about how you treated us will ever end, I'll give you Jimmy Hoffa's cell phone number.

I can send you my old TWA uniform. Too many crew meals later, that thing makes me look like John Travolta...which isnt good.

UPS never bought TWA and promised them a fair and equitable merger as a pre-empt to get it through Congressial hearings.

This is old news, keep up with the program.

I'm a little lost here: You mean that 1000 AA pilots were on the street while only 495 TWA senior Captains were still working, after the 9-11 furloughs? You mean that only 1000 AA pilots got furloughed, only 11% of the list, while 1900 TWA pilots got furloughed, over 75% of TWA's list? Is that what you meant?

Villifying pilots who wronged another pilot group is old news? Well they did, and people don't easily forget. When careers are destroyed, the bad feelings don't just disappear...

Yeah, you're right - I'm way behind on all this stuff. After all, it did take place 7 years ago yet, sadly, still gets brought up with every AA thread.

BTW, you seem to interchange the terms "bought" and "merger" above. I think there's a difference.

Best of luck to you at UPS. I'm out.
