And your point, if they do? Did they have the part?
Also, just heard on local news "officials" say it hit some birds, AND there was some damage to the fuselage. So, they probably couldn't just replace the cone and go!
And 5 hours IS remarkable actually. You have to think they had to get the new airplane from somewhere, AND a crew to get it there on short notice!!!

SBD....damn ....dont you know that airlines are suppose to have spare aircraft and spare crews at EVERY airport for EVERY possibility......LOL

I heard the nose cone caved in at M 1.4 right after Iceman rolled in on a Midwest flight knocking down Senator Obama's MD80.

Don't tangle with a 757, or a Northwest Crew, on the way to a Florida destination.

SPEED TAPE

Isn't that just airline talk for "duct tape"? Plus, duct tape is cheap, whereas I'm sure "speed tape" costs a fortune.
