Quote from a poster on that site names Sorros:
This is just another example of unionised crews not doing there job not caring about there costomers. Passengers are told arrive two hour early but and entire crew arrivers at the same time one and a half hours late. This is why this year we should boycatt America Airlines, and not fly. they over book, cut there services, and are not good to the customer.
I’snt it funny how they were all late, I bet you they stayed out partiing late in the night and the whole thing was planned. shme on the Airlines. don’t fly this whole year boycott these ungreatful unionised a##holes.

This is why the flying public, in particluar the USA are a complete bunch of #$%^heads. When I walk into a TV repair shop and get my TV fixed I dont start telling the guy how to fix my TV otherwise I would do it myself. 90% of these " "heads get on a plane and think they can fly it, because they have flown 1,000,000+ miles in the back and they are pink or purple elite status blah blah blah blah. There idiots plain and simple. I just try to prentend they are not even there.
Bravo to this American crew for walking away and leaving those " "heads stranded in MIA... I hope for days!!!!!!!
Rant over.

Just out of curiosity, why was the crew late in the first place? I would imagine since the whole crew was late it wasn't their fault (delayed inbound or something). What a load of crap, let the crew do their job, especially when its not their fault they were late. Can you imagine the crap the FA's would have had to put up with from the pax during the flight had it actually gone? Good call refusing to fly. Let them walk.

While I agree that the pax got what they deserved, I can't imagine all of them were being inappropriate. I'm sure we aren't hearing nearly all of the story, but I wonder if there was a better way to deal with this so as to avoid the bad press. Would boarding the plane then kicking off those who wouldn't shut up be a better solution? My guess is that the crew had a rest issue and the gate agents didn't do a good job describing that to the satisfaction of the pax(not sure that was possible with the crowd though) to start the whole mess.

Good for the AA Crew.
I have also been on the receiving end of a bunch of po'd pax when we were delayed on an previous inbound flight...entire crew walked thru the waiting area and briskly down the jetway. As I went to the phone to call the gate agent and tell her we were ready, I could hear her on the PA making jokes about us oversleeping! Only after she made a "correction" over the pa did I allow her to board the ac. Pax were still po'd tho.
Oh and f10a.." My experience with "privileged" latinos like those that dominate Miami, and perhaps the one who made the above postm, have been unreal".... your an a$$.

Im pretty new to the airline business but can someone answer a question for me? Are N.Y. pax going to Florida or vice versa always rude? Seems like everytime I go from N.Y. to Florida pax are just horrible to deal with. Just wondering

But I am not alone in how Miami's super elite Latin Americans (mainly extremely wealthy Colombians, Venezuelans, and others from countries with extreme poverty etc) are perceived as arrogant snobs who treat people below their social status like servants, including you and me in the airlines. And while I might be an a$$, I used to date a chica from PR/NYC that had a terrible sense of entitlement that was too much to handle.

Yes. Especially if that "paaawk the caw" or "new yaaawk" accent vomits out of their mouth and fly into Palm Beach.

When I flew self loading Cargo, the NYC flights were always absolutely full of trash afterwards. Every seat back full of newspaper, Water bottles stuffed between seats, tissues wadded up and stuffed into seat back pockets.
