Spirit Airlines:
LGA-FLL: $269 (Non-refundable ticket and no, I didn't pay to have my bag checked)

One could do a case study on NY attitudes .
Anyway it begs the question of whatever the hell happened to civility in our society?Might be a new topic.
And good for the crew on the correct decision on this matter .
Flying is a prvge which has not been ordained by god or congress as a constitutional right.

Did anyone notice that someone posted on comment on that website linking to this thread on APC? Interesting....
As for the comments, they are amazing...
"Cabin crew think they are God’s gift to transportation…all they are are cart pushers in the sky"
sigh....
"The crew is late? Screw em, just take off without them, let the crew catch the next plane"
ummmm....
"The airlines need to be de-regulated. Let the free market take care of it and everything will work perfectly"
research anyone?
"People don’t line up for these jobs because they have skills, or are hard, they want the one day on five days off. they are easy."
what job is he talking about?
But finally a breath of fresh air...
"I should have got a job at UPS, or FEDEX- The boxes are smarter Than the passengers"

I'm not sure what happened, but here's the happy-place pic that I painted in my head-
Passengers are P.O.'d that the crew is late and act as the typical FL-NY passengers act. The crew simultaneously sprout huge st*nes and collectively say "to heck with this" (or any other more graphic statement that you may imagine) and walk away.
If the reality matches my fantasy, I would love to shake each and every crewmembers' hand and the first round is on me.

Good for them! If we just get rid of all the pax., things will run a lot smoother. Let them all take the bus. Who cares about bad press. We all know the company is making a fortune off the mail anyway. I know someone is going to resurrect the Aeroflot businees plan and make a fortune.

On a side note...Thanks to all the great crews that will actually come up to the gate and talk with the pax when we have delays instead of hiding out on the plane or downstairs. Even though they provide the same information the agents do it realy helps when the pax hear it from the pilots.
