Any latest news on NWA hiring
#11
I don't have any inside knowledge, but I would be extremely surprised if NWA hired any more pilots. The leadership at NWA has been trimming us down to absolute minimum manning in anticipation of this merger for a long time. We had over 6000 pilots at one point. I think we are down to less than 5000 active now. There are several on-going programs at NWA to reduce surplus manning. They are offering short-term (> one month) leaves, partial month leaves, and early retirements. Doesn't bode well for anyone trying to get hired.

I wish you all the best of luck during the merger. It sounds like both sides have their stuff together.

I really don't think I have a bad attitude. I feel that the result of my interview was bad timing. I had the feeling that they didn't intend to hire anyone that showed up to Atlanta that day.

And they didn't pay for me to stay in a hotel room. I covered that on my own dime.

What do you mean coincidental or fishy? Lots of people got hired and some people did not. When I interviewed, 2 of 8 made the cut. All 7 of the people that interviewed with me were nice people ... but that doesn't mean they are the material that DAL was looking for. Only the HR people know exactly why you didn't get hired.
At least admit to yourself that perhaps YOU had something to do with not getting hired, not some stupid conspiracy plan you've devised to help make yourself feel better. Good grief.
If you keep thinking like that and do not learn from your situation, you're going to be flying those ERJs a mighty long time.

Maybe EMBflyer was on his A game, and was looked over for whatever reason. We will never know. Good luck, EMBflyer.

It is quite possible he is on to something. I interviewed at a regional eleven years ago. It was a pretty safe bet I was NOT going to get the job when the person giving the interview threw his pencil across the desk at me. No joke. He missed, thank God. In retrospect I should have gathered my things and walked out, but hindsight is BETTER than 20/20.
