Just a guess but you're probably correct. We have 186 -300's and 25 -500's so if we're upgrading 150 classics that means we'll need 61 -700's to be delivered to stay at the same fleet size.

Wow. I didn't even think of the cockpit differences. It's pretty neat how they do the 700s with the glass steam gauges. Never thought I'd see that (never even thought it existed)!
How does the FMS work in the older airplanes (300, DC9, etc) that aren't glass? I would think it's kind of nerve wracking to be using the FMS and not see on a screen what I have programmed in there. I'd be curious to see how that all works.

CAL uses this same display in our NG's because we have the 300 round dial. We are going to flip the "switch" and make them PFD when we get rid of the 300"s.
The Box has all of the data you need for situational awareness in the round dial, you just have to know where to look...
