Yes, you will go above all DL and NWA "junior" to you also.....Compass has a complete flowdown, Mesaba has about a dozen....much different

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Depends on when you would have flowed.
Problem is that it all depends on what the prenup would say if this were to happen.

Yes, but only if he was offered a flow up, accepted it, & then was seat locked on the CRJ900 thereby delaying his training at mainline. Since he did not flow up yet, he would be subject to the ALPA merger policy, as would the rest of the Mesaba Seniority list. That's how I understand it.

acl65pilot 03-10-2009 05:03 PM

That was the point. It would only happen if there was a prenup with all of th wholly owned carriers.

What I'm saying is that, let's say down the road during section 6 DAPLA recaptures the 76 seat flying. Management can't legally just take the planes from the regionals because of the service agreements. They don't own some of them either. All 76 seat flying has to be merged into the Mainline. At which point Delta can park all the 76 seat planes and fire all the regional pilots and retrain new pilots, or they can force SLI into mainline. I think they would choose the latter, in which case, if compass had been stapled prior, the 5000+ DCI pilots that have a DOH before any compass pilots will be breathing down their necks to get into the compass seats. Do you see where this is headed?

A compass staple now is a seniority grab prior to section 6 where DALPA may actually have a chance at taking it back. If all scope recapture results in is a huge seniority battle, you might as well forget about it.

Mesabah, SLI's are not determined by DOH. Sorry.

Compass will probably self-implode before anyone gets a chance to flow-up/flow-down anyway... we're well on our way. If we are still around, our brothers at mainline have a lot more to worry about than just the pay cut by coming here: just wait to you guys see what happens to your QOL as well!

I can see where you are going with this. You basically want to be senior to anyone from CPS. Depending on how this goes down or if it goes down, that may not happen.
The only way what you are hinting at would work is to have a pre-negotiated prenuptial, where all all of the wholly owned carriers agree prior to filing a PID on seniority and that puts you above all of them. I will tell you this. There are pilots there with 10 years of longevity at DAL. Once they are merged they will get to exercise their seniority they currently have on the DAL pilot list. There will be pilots senior to you. Very few people ever get to be number one.
If this is going to work ever, you need to take ego out of it.
