I think it does apply to them as well. I think the reason why Compass is a good starting point is because the pilot group is junior, and the pilot group expects to flow to Delta and/or flowback. I think there would be little or no resistance to change at Compass. I can't speak for the others but I would expect more resistance.

Slightly off topic... but just FYI. I am assuming by your nickname you are former NWA. The company is called "Delta Air Lines"... not "Airlines". Just putting out the information.. not being a butt.

I urge all Delta, FNWA, and Compass guys on this forum to talk this up to EVERYONE you fly with. This needs to be a widespread grassroots effort. Get everyone you find to write their reps, whether it is a jumpseater or crew. Pull out your laptop on a long sit and just have them send a quick email.

Most do not care. To make them care you need to educate them. To do this you need to have sound arguments, not just crud like because it is better for us.
Make sure you have fact to back it up. It is the only way most of the senior guys that do not care about anything DAL except the checks that are deposited on the 15th and 1st will listen to you.

Alright, I am going to start this on my next trip and make it a point that as many people at CPZ as possible know about this (though it may not help all that much).

Just so that everyone is on the same page for this movement, let's put together a list:

-Pros to stapling the CPZ list?

-Strategies/rebuttals when we hear the inevitable cons to the staple?

Pro's for Delta pilots:

-3-4% growth of the mainline fleet
-Help stop or reduce the outsourcing of jobs
-Increase Delta Captain positions
-Increase cost effectiveness of E-190/195 as a DC-9 replacement
-350 more pilots junior to current Delta pilots that can be furloughed first
-If displacements/furloughs occur, you could fly the E-175 at Delta instead of Compass, better rules, benefits, travel, etc.
-the 175 is a nice ride
-saves delta money by not having another management team, mx department, dispatch department, etc.

Con's for Delta pilots: (for discussion/rebuttal purposes)

-entry level position is potentially lower paying (depending on what's negotiated)
-some delta pilots don't think Compass pilots were interviewed to high enough standards (nwa standards)

Make sure that your MEC Coordinator is on board. It has to be CPZ and CPZ alone for a lot of reasons. We can not have Mesaba on the first wave for a lot of reasons.
You guys may have some issues with this point. Make sure you are represented correctly.
