A380 Problems

Wow, just wow.
Not really sure how "ethnocentrism" factored in about a joke that made reference to a car that had a reputation of not being too reliable at one time. Seems as if you're confusing my posts with another one made since you like using the word "ethnocentrism". Maybe if you go back and reread my post, you might be able to get the joke. Not sure where "slippery" factors in. You actually said yourself that Skodas were not the most reliable car, at one time. Kinda like Airbus products, at one time.
Oh well, sure is nice to see that some guys have a sense of humor
Any questions?

Yeah,
What makes you think I didn't get your simplistic joke the first time?

Gotta love internet message boards sometimes.
With that, sorry. Don't see any value in continuing down this road any further, nor derailing the thread anymore.

Yes Sir. I'll get right on it.
Are you for real?
Or, the complete arrogance of some people!
Just because I countered your Airbus "Skoda" moniker with;
"Skoda's are pretty good. That's why VW now owns the company", you "presume" I didn't get your joke???
As I stated before, that was rather slippery of you. Although, you didn't comprehend that comment.
I'll let you get back to being a little smart a$$ to others under the protective veil of the internet. If it makes you feel a few inches taller, so be it.

Airbus parent company EADS has announced a new break-even point for its troubled A380 programme - 420 aircraft as opposed to the previous 270, the BBC reports. Current orders for the A380 stand at 159.
This big white elephant is going to break the company.

Competition is good, competition is here to stay. If don't believe that, then I suggest you lock yourself in your house, cause globalization is taking over full force, and airlines will continue to play the two (maybe 3 or 4 with Embraer and Canadair) against each other for a better product.

If any staunch Boeing supporter thinks that the demise of Airbus would be good for the airline industry or the US economy, they need to take a class in Macro-Economics.
The US needs a strong Europe and vice-versa.

I've been doing some case studies and one sure thing to come from globalisation is increased long haul air freight!
According to Boeing and The IATA, World Air Cargo will grow at the rate of 5-6% per year for the next two decades. By 2027, there will be around 4000 freighter aircraft in service. That's almost double the number in service today. How many of those 2000 freighter orders do you think will be A380-F's?
Given the capability of the aircraft, I'd guess quite a few.
