the judge (who has proven to be rather anti-UAL pilot)

A Clinton appointed pro labor Dem. OUCH!
The unkindest cut of all.

I thought I was the only one who ever used that quote, love it. Really though, I get sick just thinking about what the "good old boys club" up stairs is doing to what was once the best airline.

Contempt finding and perhaps a union breaking fine, yes.

The rest of your assertions, no.

Hi Lee,

Call your union rep. I'm sure they have much more info than I do.

I would if I had one, but I'm not there anymore. Seriously, I hope no union rep has said that kind of thing. The judge could find both the union and even individuals in contempt of the order and fine them into oblivion. But, do a line by line rewrite of the CBA...no.

I'd love to read anything you can find to the contrary though. As only a lay person mind you my reading of the order basically indicated the judge said abide by the CBA and RLA. Specifically no overt/covert undermining by the MEC.

I would be too sick to come to work if my CO. was trying to create a bastard child of an airline with Aer Lingus.

Hi Lee,

I would HOPE that your previous Union rep would take your call; if for some reason one of them wouldn't some day, please send me a PM. That would be something I would want to make sure got rectified.

I heard that information from a close friend who was at a union meeting regarding this subject. 3rd hand, so could be totally off base.

Nope - I am March 6 2000, and I will be here. It will go junior to that too, as there have been significant volunteers. I don't know for sure, but I would guess it will be April or May of 2000 hire. They have already announced in the Flight Plan that the furloughs will continue to AT LEAST 6440 seniority starting in Fall. I am 6928 with my March hire date for reference. That means AT LEAST another 500 off the list in Fall.

Hope that helps!
