Typical response from a brainwashed blue juicer...........
It is what it is. "If you don't like it, leave". Stalin claimed that men would fight long and hard for a small piece of ribbon. Apparently, some pilots will slave long and hard for the use of a shiny piece of equipment. JJ Insulting people, calling them brainwashed blue juicers and for good measures throwing Joseph Stalin into the equation, might play well in a bar or the crewroom but is certainly not the hallmark of meaningful counterpoints. |

Honest question- CRFguy do you work for Jetblue?
Nobody is being brainwashed at OSC. What are you talking about. What do you mean by no respect, no power, CAs having no authority, and bottom of our peers? None of this is true. If you are so unhappy, Why don't you work for the top airline of our peer group? Go for it, find happiness don't let the blue juice or the brainwashing stop you. Life is too short to be unhappy. Apparently CRFguy's position is shared by many! Could it be that he has issues with the apparent lack of respect, power, authority, and parity because he's gained corporate intelligence and has valid concerns? Maybe he should be taken seriously instead of being shown the door. JJ |
After reviewing the Captain pay scales at both Jet Blue and US Air there is little difference between them and RAH 175+ scale. RAH should come up a little but there is not a huge difference in pay between the three. Posters to this board make it sound like RAH is bringing down the industry payscales due to this one plane.
What really happened is no one paid attention to how low the pay was for this plane when it was only at US AIr and Jet Blue but now that a "Regional" has it, it is their fault the pay is so low. |

I'm curious as to what jetblue pilots think of this RAH agreement to fly the E190's. I'd be a little nervous that Jetblue would be next. E190's flown for even less pay. Can't be good be an E190 operator. I still think your managment cares more about their quality of product then getting the cheapest deal. However, if midwest or AMR, UAL, managers ever found their way over there. Might not be good. Has their been any talk of getting a union going again. If nothing else it should show the importance of a CBA to secure an airtight scope clause. Just something to think about.
That air tight scope clause you are referring to? Is that the same kind of air tight one ALPA provided Midwest Airlines mainline pilots? The same one that before anyone even cared to start litigating about RAH will be replacing their old E190 with new ones? Maybe you guys need to smell the roses and figure out what ALPA really is and isn't anymore. |

I didn't feel like reading all the 5 pages of bashing, but figured I'll add my own. Excuse me if it's a repeat.

B6 has a compensation committee that has supposedly had new payrates green-lighted by management but until they're officially approved they don't mean squat. It's a decent place to work but I often refer to it as a three-quarters major; we're just not where we need to be and I still fear too many guys are singing "Kumbaya" to try and fix it. |
This airline is a joke. OSC brainwashes newhires with our "values based" culture, it seems to work because people like Mike seem to be happy commuting across the country to work for peanuts. I've seen the PROPOSED pay rates, I've also seen the change in out premium trigger (might want to take a gander at that) and the fact that I don't believe anything this company does until it actually happens.
I don't know your senority Mike, but how about all those bus FO's we hired off the street. I bet your buddies who were waiting for a bus slot loved that. There are no rules here. Senority is nearly a suggestion. Ask the ex. CP's with garbage senority who are flying th E90 for Airbus rates. Hmmmm, that's a mystery. It's nice to know that some CA's at JB actually stand up for the respect they've earned, but the majority let the gate agents and sysops run the show. I can go on for days with stories of Captains who don't stand up for what is right and let this "everyone is equal" cluture erode their authority. I've seen JB and I want out. I'm swimming in the pool at another airline but who knows if that will ever happen, until then we need to unify and get what we deserve. A 'direct relationship' is not the way to go about it. I really am ashamed of my fellow pilots. We are the laughing stock of the industry. |
