But that's going on the assumption that if there was a merger, NOBODY gets cut due to possible trimming of overlap, etc. I know there's not much with UAL/CAL just like there wasn't much at NW/DAL.
But with BOTH those managements (UAL/CAL), I'm just sayin'.

Negotiations are in progress. I honestly believe that the next thing we hear from management is that we can't afford to take delivery of these new airplanes unless the pilot contract isn't too expensive, or maybe that the new planes will have to be flown by an alter-ego airline with new pilots.

Also, where was ALPA when we gave the company a 1for 1 block hour agreement for expeess. This alone has represented the biggest loss of jobs at UAL and we have our MEC chairman's signature on the agreement. Too bad the leadership of our union was too busy attempting to secure there own perks they forgot about the rest of us.
