Hi I'm John Prater and to combat fatigue (which we at ALPA have been fighting for so long) we endorsed allowing older people in the cockpit, cause nothing says fresh like a 61yr old on 8 hours rest.

That's awesome! Hopefully, this will result in some good changes. Since the public seems concerned it just might.

Nice...perhaps I should have been more specific. Joe the plumber or Joe congressman will likely get bored and tune out if it's too long winded.

Wouldn't you?

Amen! We can only sit back and wonder (if we can stay awake), how much further along we could have been if instead of spending over 5 million on the "Takin' It Back" nationwide beer blast and pizza party, good ol' "Fearless Leader" had spend the money on this for the past two and a half years.

To hell with TWIC, what's more important? Breezing through security, which is a pain in the butt, or falling asleep in the cockpit? And the answer is...top shelf scotch and cigars for Johnny Boy and Randy!!!

Seriously, it's a damn shame that more pilots and passengers had to die in an incident that fatigue will be one of the factors. It's worse that Prater has been sitting on his can, waiting for someone to tell him how to be a union president.

Oh, what the hell. Just found out last week that due to further budget cuts, on top of cutting out Air Safety Week to a bi-annual event, key senior legal, representational and R&I people have been cut to part time to save money. Unit 1 is in a shambles and people are putting resumes out as fast as they can.

The ALPA that was formed and spent decades protecting pilots is crumbling at it's foundation. And not due to the industry, but it's own elected leadership.
